NOvA is long-baseline (810 km) neutrino oscillation experiment. First results using an upgraded neutrino beam from Fermilab and the data from the two highly active, segmented, liquid scintillator off-axis detectors have shown $\nu_{\mu}$ disappearance in a $\nu_{\mu}$ beam.
In this poster, a review of the NOvA $\nu_{\mu}$ disappearance analysis and its implications to improve the world best measurement of the parameter $\sin^{2{(\theta_{23})}$ will be discussed.
