We propose a new design approach to the block raiser forks and block support pallets.
The new design reduces the longitudinal support deflection to 0.022 inches for the empty block while on the block raiser , reduces the unsupported lateral span to 19 inches, provides for fork droop correction, and allows the block to be set exactly vertical or with a slight bias toward the block raiser table for added stability during setting.
When installed, the pallet supports 72% of the block area, is only 6 inches high, weighs under 5,000 # , and is easily assembled entirely from cut square tubing sections.

Notes and Changes:
We ahve adapted the design to an ampty block weight of 313,000# and a maximum service stress of 10,000psiin the forks, as per Dave Pushka. We are usning 8 x 8" tubes for making the pallets. There are only minor cost consequences.
